KIPP Vision Primary School in SE Atlanta, GA
As soon as school got out for the summer, CertaPro Painters of Atlanta began its own version of ‘summer reading’ by helping a local elementary school knock out an extensive transformation project.
Located in the Lakewood Heights neighborhood of SE Atlanta, KIPP Vision School, a 1958 constructed Atlanta Public Schools building and formerly Tull Waters Elementary, recently underwent a massive facelift. The refurbishment was complex, requiring detailed coordination between our project managers and crews, school leadership, and the many other trades taking part in the project. While other trades worked simultaneously on things such as new flooring and cove base, fresh ceiling tiles, and new murals on the recently painting white walls, CertaPro Painters of Atlanta was able to provide painting services for many rooms and areas contained in both the Primary and Middle schools.
These areas included:
- Outer front entrance
- Inner front lobby
- Main cafeteria and attached stage
- Teenager’s lounge
- Multiple bathrooms
- Multiple classrooms and other academic areas
- Administrative offices with its adjoining hallways
- Multiple metal exterior doors and doorframes
After seeing the level of detail that CertaPro Painters of Atlanta project managers and crews could provide to an already intricate project, school leaders at KIPP Vision Primary School requested that additional work be added to the original scope. These areas consisted mostly of additional classrooms and hallways.
All areas were coated with Sherwin Williams SuperPaint, with various colors being applied throughout.
